A scorpion in the desert is a scary thing to encounter. They are small but deadly! The FÉNIX Hockey Scorpion is also deadly, but not to humans. Instead, it is deadly to flawed slip-under puckhandling technique!
Our Scorpion has a small, compact form that is self-righting and heavy enough to minimize drift out of position when impacted by a puck or a stick whether on the ice or in the home training environment.
It is as convenient as a cone, but as effective as other, more cumbersome, slip-under puckhandling devices!
FEATURES:
The Scorpion can control drill routes with a minimal form factor that won't interfere with other drill design considerations, but it provides more flexibility than a traditional cone. In other words, it is compact enough to be used as a traditional cone or tire, but it also creates a realistic representation of a defender's stick.
Its shaft can be positioned in a horizontal arrangement to create the same slip-under interactions seen with bridge-type devices that don't simulate the rising stick shaft but do force players to give up puck control temporarily while the puck slides under them.
Easy to deploy, store, or transport
Has enough heft to resist movement when bumped.
Great for both on and off ice use!
Note: Do not shoot through the area of the Scorpion (as in working on shooting through a screen). It is for puckhandling work only, not for shoot through.
